Anti-BullyingAnti-Bullying grants support programming and services that present strategies to stop childhood bullying and inspire kindness in our community. New anti-bullying programs, efforts to expand already established programs, and positive behavior programs fall under this category.
Awareness/EducationAwareness/Education grants support education programs, including educational conferences and events, that bring awareness to a particular cause or issue affecting children. These grants also support educational programming featuring literacy, financial literacy, STEAM programming, music, and enrichment programs that help children advance in their studies, build knowledge, character, and leadership skills. Please Note: DCU for Kids will support conference or advocacy events, but will not seek or request promotional or sponsor benefits in return. DCU for Kids does not support fundraisers.
HospitalsHospital grants support programming or equipment purchases, within a hospital, that serve children in need.
Medical ResearchMedical Research grants aim to advance the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease and development disorders, impacting children, by strengthening and supporting clinical research.
Special NeedsSpecial Needs grants support specially designed programs and services that address children’s unique abilities and learning capabilities. Organizations serving children with special needs through education programs, respite services, camp scholarships, technology, medical care and therapy, should apply for funding under this category.
Support ServicesSupport Services grants help children and families live healthy, economically stable, and enhanced lives. These funds can be used for programming and services that provide nutrition, basic family assistance, housing, and bereavement. These grants also support specially designed services for children that are at-risk, facing poverty, illness or neglect.
Youth Community ProgramsYouth Community Program grants support organizations that provide extra-curricular activities, after-school programs, camps, and enrichment programs for children in need. A Youth Community Program grant will support the operation costs and enable a child’s participation. Participation in these programs will ultimately develop the child as an individual, leader, and successful member of our community.
