Cash Raffle Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions to Entrants of the 2008 Raffle benefiting DCU For Kids

All entrants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of the drawing. If the entrant is a DCU member at the time of entry his or her membership must be in good standing.

All entrants understand and agree that they are entering to win $20,000.

The drawing will be conducted by an independent CPA firm.

Present employees, volunteers, and affiliates of Digital Federal Credit Union and the independent CPA firm conducting the drawing, and their family members, are ineligible to enter.

If you enter at a DCU branch office, the entry fee will immediately be withdrawn and a unique ticket number given to you. Entries made online will receive a confirmation online. DCU will hold the funds until a valid winning entry is selected by the independent CPA firm. The winning entry will be selected when 3000 tickets have been sold. Drawing will take place no later than 1/31/09.

DCU will attempt to first notify the winner by phone at the number provided on the winner’s raffle ticket. If unable to do so, DCU will send written notification via US mail to the address provided on the ticket. If DCU is unable to make contact with the winner within 14 calendar days of the drawing, another winner will be selected.

By entering, winner agrees to sign a form, which DCU will provide, indemnifying and holding DCU harmless from any and all liability once possession has been taken and acknowledging receipt of the raffle prize.

If the winner is a DCU member the prize will be deposited into his/her Savings Account. If not a DCU member, the winner agrees to provide adequate identification and make arrangements to pick up the winnings via a DCU Treasurer's Check (Check), payable to the winner, at the DCU Operations Center located at 853 Donald Lynch Boulevard, Marlborough, MA.

The prize will be considered ordinary income for tax purposes. The winner agrees that all sales, use, and other taxes or fees are his or her full and complete responsibility. Further, the winner agrees not to hold DCU liable for any resultant action derived from the use, transport, or enjoyment of the prize.

It is the responsibility of the entrant to determine whether the raffle is permitted under the laws of the state in which the entrant resides.

It is the responsibility of the entrant to comply with any federal laws or regulations as well as any specific to the state in which the entrant resides. In the event of a dispute of the rules of this raffle, the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts will preside. Entering constitutes your agreement to allow your likeness and name to be used in any future DCU publications, which may or may not include appearing on DCU's web site, promoting this raffle.

Every entry has a 1/3000 chance to win.

DCU reserves the right to refuse an entry if any of these conditions are not met. You should not enter this raffle unless the conditions above are fully understood. No portion of the ticket price is considered a charitable contribution for purposes of deductibility.
